Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is confirmed to launch in India with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC

The forthcoming India launch of the handsets has been confirmed by Amazon India banners for the Galaxy M55 5G and the Galaxy M15 5G. Although a date has not yet been disclosed, both phones are reportedly set to launch in the nation shortly.

Based to one of the banners, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC will be included in the Galaxy M55 5G. According to another banner, the Galaxy M15 5G would come with a 6,000mAh battery and a smiled display with a waterdrop notch in the middle. While these details match those of their international counterparts, it is likely that the majority of the features of the Indian handset model will also be identical to those of their international equivalents.

In the meantime, in a series of posts on X (previously Twitter), tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) disclosed the expected price as well as the most likely RAM and storage choices of the Indian versions of the Galaxy M55 and Galaxy M15 5G. According to him, the 8GB + 128GB model of the Galaxy M55 5G would start at Rs. 26,999 in India, while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB versions are anticipated to cost Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 32,999, respectively.

The tipster claims in another post that the 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB versions of the Galaxy M15 5G will retail for Rs. 13,499 and Rs. 14,999 in India, respectively. In the same article, he stated that the phone’s Indian version is likely going to have a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, a 6.5-inch 90Hz full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, a 13-megapixel selfie camera, a 50-megapixel triple back camera unit, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging. These characteristics are similar to those of the phone’s international version.

The Galaxy M55 5G is accessible in Dark Blue and Green colorways and costs at BRL 3,199 (about Rs. 53,000) in Brazil for the 8GB + 256GB storage. Meanwhile, the 4GB + 128GB variant of the Galaxy M15 5G, which is available in Dark Blue, Grey, and Light Blue hues, is priced at BRL 1,499 (about Rs. 25,000).
